Baume & Mercier has launched a new Limited Edition timepiece for women in the Middle East – the first ever ceramic watch to be crafted by the 183 years old Swiss Maison d’Horlogerie. The beautifully sleek and feminine 32mm Linea in polished two-tone and black ceramic is limited to 150 pieces and will be available exclusively in the region.
This unique timepiece features a shiny black ceramic case with a 18K red gold capped engraved bezel and a 18K red gold crown – making up a total gold weight of 9.0 grams. In perfect harmony with the case and the bracelet, the dial is sun satin-finished and silk-screened black with gilt riveted indexes and hands. Thanks to the choice of the mechanism, feminine charm meets technical sophistication. Indeed, this outstanding timepiece is equipped with a mechanical self-winding movement featuring date function, 42 hours power reserve and a oscillating weight decorated with the Phi symbol visible thanks to the sapphire crystal case back which is engraved “Limited Edition”.
Staying true to Linea’s hallmark interchangeable strap system, the new timepiece comes with an additional strap. The 18K red gold capped and shiny black bracelet can be replaced by a shiny black alligator strap in a simple snap, thanks to an ingenious, totally secure system that is fast and easy to use. This interchangeable strap design principle allows the wearer to change the strap on her Linea to suit her mood or her style at that moment and is a celebrated attribute of the best-selling ladies collection.
The two-tone ceramic Linea follows the introduction of the UAE Capeland Limited Edition in 2012, and underlines Baume & Mercier’s dedication to the region, reiterated by the brand having its only boutique in the world in the globally renowned Dubai Mall. Crafting a ladies’ Limited Edition, especially for the Middle East, was a natural progression for the brand, for which the feminine segment has always been an endless source of inspiration.
