Iraq exported oil worth $7 billion in December.

The Iraqi Ministry of Oil said on Monday, that oil export revenues for December amounted to more than 7 billion dollars. 

“According to the final statistics issued by the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO), the amount of exports of crude oil amounted to (101) million and (579) thousand and (927) barrels, with revenues amounting to (7) billion (391) million and (749) thousand dollars (sic),” the ministry’s media office said in a statement.    

The statement added that the additional revenues were achieved from selling quantities of shipments of exported crude oil at a price premium, as the total revenue amounted to $143 million.

 “The exported quantities were loaded by 29 international companies of different nationalities, from ports Basra, Khor al-Amiyah, mono-buoys on the Gulf, and the Turkish port of Ceyhan,” the statement said.
