Morocco Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, on Sunday, discussed bilateral ties and the latest developments in the Middle East region during a phone call from Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Donika Gervalla-Schwarz.  

The two top diplomats stressed their keenness to continue joint action that brings together Amman and Pristina. They also discussed the need for concerted efforts to restore calm at Al-Aqsa Mosque. 

“Respecting the historical and legal status quo is the only way to restore calm in the holy city”, Safadi said.  He also called for a just peace between Israel and Palestine on the basis of the two-state solution.

The two ministers also talked about the situation in the Balkans, stressing the need to ensure security and stability in this vital region of the world.
