Iran denies hand in attack, blames Rushdie for insulting Islam
Three days after the assault on Salman Rushdie, Iran has denied any link with the attacker who stabbed British writer at a literary event in New York, blaming the writer himself. The foreign ministry spokesman said that Rushdie had insulted Muslims and the sacred matters of Islam.
