  • The top respondents for the poll question were from Bahrain (25.6 percent), followed by Qatar (25 percent), Lebanon (24.1 percent), and UAE (22.7 percent)
  • Respondents were mainly from the age 20 to 29 years old (46.4 percent), followed by the age range 30 to 39 years (38.6 percent), and 40 to 49 years (10.3 percent)

Dubai, UAE – The “ChatGPT” conversation robot from “Open AI”, and other similar AI tools, may not replace humans at the workplace anytime soon, it will, however, make a wide range of tasks more accessible and efficient for people in the business, education, and media sectors.

However, ChatGPT may harm some subsets, such as students, who might rely on it to carry out their school duties rather than engage in critical thinking and acquire knowledge.

For this reason, TRENDS asked followers on Twitter: Who should avoid using ChatGPT and similar AI platforms?

The top respondents for the poll question were from Bahrain (25.6 percent), followed by Qatar (25 percent), Lebanon (24.1 percent), UAE (22.7 percent), and then Saudi Arabia (2.6 percent only).

The surprise was that most responders (37 percent) didn’t think anyone should avoid using ChatGPT and similar AI platforms, while 26 percent believed that news media should avoid it.

Moreover, 25 percent of the respondents believe educational institutions should avoid AI platforms, and only 12 percent think creative writers should avoid them.

Age and Gender

TRENDS poll regarding avoiding ChatGPT and such AI applications was responded to by the majority of males (63.9 percent) and 36 percent of females.

Furthermore, respondents were mainly from the age 20 to 29 years old (46.4 percent), followed by the age range 30 to 39 years (38.6 percent), then 40 to 49 years (10.3 percent), and only 4.7 percent were above 50 years old.

Benefits

In 2022, economists from the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) studied the talents that artificial intelligence can replicate. They discovered that AI tools could handle scheduling and define projects’ priorities “better than humans” in many situations.

“Work schedule and activities seem to be a perfect assignment for artificial intelligence,” the report found.

The artificial intelligence conversation robot was also proven to help develop ideas, calculate startup costs, and outline a plan of action.

“Chat GPT” still has a long time to become an approved technology in several matters, such as scientific research.

After putting “Chat GPT” through his paces, Amazon staff claimed he did an “excellent job” answering customer service questions and was “extremely strong” when fielding questions regarding the company’s strategy.

Misinformation

“ChatGPT” has been widely disseminated since its launch in November of last year and has presented many challenges since then.

While the program’s creator can produce high-quality content and support the innovation system, it will also cast a shadow over the extinction of particular professions and have a negative impact on education.

Workers should take precautions when utilizing these technologies because they might generate inaccurate data and take the human element out of tasks such as writing.

At the same time, some teachers are trying to take strict measures on using artificial intelligence after many students assigned to write articles during their studies realized that “Chat GPT” can be very useful as a writing tool.

“Chat GPT” still has a long time to become an approved technology in several matters, such as scientific research, which he significantly failed in addition to programming.
