Saudi Arabia meet discusses upcoming GCC-UK free trade negotiations

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — A meeting was held in Riyadh Thursday to prepare for holding the third round of free trade agreement negotiations between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States and the United Kingdom from March 12–16 at the GCC General Secretariat in Riyadh.

Fareed bin Saeed Al-Asaly, the Deputy Governor of the General Authority of Foreign Trade (GAFT) for International Organizations and Agreements, chaired the meeting of the Saudi team at GAFT headquarters.

The meeting was attended by the heads of negotiating technical teams, directors of departments, and coordinators of technical teams.

Reports said the meeting reflects the Saudi government’s commitment to enhancing international trade and collaboration, and its role as a key player in the global economy.

The negotiations are crucial for enhancing bilateral trade and investment opportunities.
