DUBAI, UAE — The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has entered into a strategic partnership with Music Nation Copyrights Management and DGMC Production to elevate Dubai’s music industry to global prominence.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed, outlining a plan for Dubai Culture to collaborate with these Dubai-based partners to foster the emirate’s music business by exchanging knowledge, insights, and fortifying relationships within the realms of culture, arts, and music.
The primary objective of this partnership is to ensure that these business structures bolster the success of local industries while leveraging the expertise of Music Nation and DGMC.
This collaboration aims to support initiatives designed to promote the sustainability of creative work, attract talent to the sector, and establish Dubai as a worldwide center for culture, a hotbed of creativity, and a thriving hub for talent.
Consequently, creatives will have access to a platform that enables them to build sustainable and rewarding careers in all facets of the music industry.
The MoU outlines plans for joint efforts to enrich the local music scene, as well as organizing educational initiatives, programs, and workshops that support Emirati and regional songwriters, enhance their capabilities, and hone their skills.
Hala Badri, Director-General of Dubai Culture, emphasized that the partnership with Music Nation and DGMC seeks to empower the emirate’s creative economy, assist entrepreneurs and individuals, and boost the efficiency of the local music and artistic production sector.
Rasha Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairwoman of both Music Nation and DGMC, expressed pride in forging this public-private partnership, which will deliver cutting-edge copyright protection, distribution, and advanced recording facility infrastructure to position Dubai as a leading Music City.
Dubai Culture is committed to collaborating with its partners to develop the commercial music business in the emirate, while preserving its global standing and contributing to the growth of local musical and creative talents.
Hala Badri added that the MoU aims to strengthen the emirate’s creative economy and support entrepreneurs, individuals, and the local music and artistic production sector to achieve Dubai’s cultural vision of becoming a global cultural center, an incubator for creativity, and a thriving hub for talent.
Rasha Khalifa Al Mubarak asserted that the partnership with Dubai Culture, in conjunction with renowned international partners, would ignite Dubai’s music economy and establish the city as a leader in the music industry, providing creatives with the platform necessary to shape sustainable and fulfilling careers.
As per the MoU, Dubai Culture will collaborate with its partners to develop joint action plans enriching the local music scene and organize educational initiatives, programs, and workshops aimed at supporting Emirati and regional songwriters, developing their capabilities, and refining their skills.
