Dubai, UAE – After welcoming 14.36 million visitors in 2022, a 97 percent Year-over-Year (Y0Y) growth when compared to 7.28 million tourist arrivals in 2021, the emirate looks forward to receiving 18 million tourists this year.

The city alone welcomed six million tourists in the first four months of this year and is now on track to attract almost as many visitors as it did in the previous two years through the rest of 2023.

Tourists have visited the UAE at an increased rate and Dubai has drawn most of them.

The latest data released by the Department of Economy and Tourism reveals a notable 18 percent increase in visitor arrivals to Dubai in the first four months of 2023. This leap forward, reaching 6.02 million visitors, represents a big jump on the 5.1 million tourists welcomed during the same period in 2022.

Most visitors, around eight lakh, came from India followed closely behind, by Russia from where 474,000 visitors came.Â
