Accenture, AWS sign six-year Middle East cloud, AI, data deal

  • Accenture will deploy regional architects and delivery leads across migration, modernization, data, AI and enterprise platform initiatives.
  • Industry programs will target energy, financial services and public sector organizations seeking faster digital transformation and AI adoption.

Accenture has signed a six-year strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help organizations across the Middle East modernize infrastructure and expand their use of cloud, data and artificial intelligence.

The agreement will provide dedicated support through AWS’s Migration Acceleration Program to help clients modernize infrastructure, migrate critical workloads and accelerate adoption of AI capabilities.

Accenture will deploy a regional team of architects and delivery leads to support projects spanning migration and modernization, data and AI, and enterprise platforms, the company said.

The collaboration will also include industry-specific initiatives aimed at advancing digital transformation and data and AI adoption in sectors including energy, financial services and the public sector.

“Organizations are accelerating their investments in cloud, data and AI to drive growth, resilience and innovation,” said Imran Sayyed, Accenture’s managing director and AWS Business Group Lead and Public Sector Technology Lead for the Middle East and Africa.

“Realizing that opportunity requires a strong digital core,” Sayyed said, adding that the collaboration would help organizations modernize infrastructure, use their data more effectively and adopt AI at scale through AWS Cloud.
