Innovations in focus as Gitex Global begins

Gitex Global, one of the world’s biggest technology shows, began in Dubai on Sunday.
During the five-day show, local government departments and international tech majors will showcase their latest technologies to thousands of visitors.
Gitex Global is returning for its 41st edition at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from October 17 to 21 as the UAE prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
In addition, a series of conferences and workshops will also be organized on the sidelines of the exhibition.
Six events– Gitex Global, Ai Everything, Gitex Future Stars, the Future Blockchain Summit, Fintech Surge and Marketing Mania Innovators–will explore innovations in artificial intelligence, 5G, cloud, big data, cybersecurity, blockchain, quantum computing, fintech and immersive marketing.
Gitex Future Stars, one of the world’s largest tech startup events of 2021, will host over 700 startups from more than 60 countries along with a network of more than 400 international investors and VCs.
Gitex Global Leaders Vision will be a gathering for regional and national technology transformation in the MENA region.
On October 19, the Gitex Global Leaders Vision will see decision-makers use their expertise to look at the Projects of the UAE 50 initiative, which aims to build UAE’s ability to attract global investment and talent.
On the second day, the conference will dive into new projects central to the digital transformation of Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries.
Saudi Vision 2030’s ambitions will be put under the spotlight, and decision-makers will evaluate government-led digital-first initiatives, and explore ways to usher in a knowledge-based, digital economy.

On 17 October, Vision Africa will see the spotlight turn on the national tech strategies and priorities of Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana and Tunisia, exploring how country-specific programs will play a critical role in forging a common vision for an integrated and inclusive digital society and economy across the continent.
