Biggest MENA steel event begins at Expo Centre Sharjah

Sales accounted for the bulk of the transactions in June.

The 17th SteelFab 2022, which is the largest steel event in the Middle East and North Africa region, began on Monday at the Expo Centre Sharjah.

The event will run from 10 to 13 January and it is organized by the Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and various international associations and leading companies.

With over 150 exhibitors of the major local and international players in the metalworking field, the exhibition highlights state-of-the-art innovations of more than 400 world-leading brands from 30 countries.

The event will showcase prominent technologies of the fourth industrial revolution in the iron and steel sector, the latest equipment and machinery for the steel industry.

Also, the event would display modern technologies in metal forming, laser systems for metal cutting, steel fabrication machines, and AI-powered robots.

Meanwhile, the Expo Centre Sharjah will also be hosting the 6th Fasteners World Middle East, a full-fledged vertical show for the entire fasteners and fixing industry.

Major British industrial companies are participating in the event through the UK pavilion.

Leading countries in the steel industry will also take part in the event, including Germany, Italy, India, and Turkey.

The event will also see the participation of numerous Emirati and local companies.

Also, the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority is partaking in the event to shed light on the privileges of setting up businesses in it and the facilities it provides to investors.

On the sidelines, SteelLFab Machinery Technology Equipment Conference will be organized.

The conference will feature panel discussions on key learnings from the impact of Covid-19 on demand and supply, and the changing face of the structural steel fabrication market, among other topics.
