The Qatar Chamber participated on Thursday, January 13, in the meeting of the Council of the Federation of GCC Chambers, official sources have said.

The meeting was held via video conference technology, said the official sources.

The spread of the Omicron variant of the novel coronavirus has stopped almost all in-person meetings across the world.

Qatar Chamber Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani, who is also the chairman of the federation, presided over the chambers’ delegation participating in the meeting.

The meeting reportedly discussed the estimated budget of the federation for the current year.

During the meeting, a committee was formed with the aim to develop the performance of the federation’s general secretariat, functional structure, and administrative regulations in a way that serves objectives of the federation.

The developed performance is also expected to enhance the federation’s potentials.

It is also expected to help in proposing new activities and events that support the financial resources of the federation.
