Qatar to distribute cash assistance for February to Gaza needy

Qatar has been providing monthly cash assistance to the needy in Gaza.
  • Cash assistance will be provided to about 100,000 needy families in the governorates of Gaza Strip, at a rate of $100 per family.
  • The aid will be distributed through the United Nations, and nearly 300 distribution centers in the governorates of Gaza Strip.

Qatar will start the process of disbursing the current February instalment of cash assistance to needy families in Gaza Strip starting next Sunday.

The Chairman of Qatar’s Gaza Reconstruction Committee Ambassador Mohammed Al Emadi, confirmed this, local media reported.

The committee will disburse the instalment in cooperation with Qatar Fund for Development.

The Chairman clarified that cash assistance will be provided to about 100,000 needy families in the governorates of Gaza Strip, at a rate of USD 100 per family.

Al Emadi indicated that the distribution process will take place through the United Nations, and the distribution centers it identified in the governorates of Gaza Strip.

Reportedly, there are more than 300 such centers and shops.
