Inaugural session of Qatar-Nigeria Economic Forum begins

A session of Qatar-Nigeria Economic Forum kicked off in Lagos, the economic capital of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Forum aims to bring together major manufacturers from Qatar and their counterparts in Nigeria.

It is to further deepen the bilateral relations of two friendly countries and establish an economic bridge between them.

The Forum aims to enhance economic cooperation and review business opportunities between the two countries.

Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu stressed that Nigeria will benefit from the various Qatari industries that were reviewed during the forum.

He added that Nigeria is an emerging economy, and will look for ways for fruitful cooperation between the two countries.

The Governor underlined that Lagos will benefit greatly from the commercial discussions between Qatari manufacturers and their Nigerian counterparts.

Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Nigeria Ali bin Ghanim Al Hajri said that both the parties renew the commitment to deepen trade.

A special focus will be placed in the fields of manufacturing, construction, oil and gas and technology, he noted.
