UAE Innovates Month: 19 Dubai Customs innovations win awards

Dubai, UAE–The number of innovations at Dubai Customs have been significantly increasing, as shown by the department’s Innovation League, which is Innovation Centre’s leading initiative to stimulate and encourage competition between departments and employees to develop more innovations.

The Innovation League results showed an increase in the number of innovations to 171, including 19 innovations that won team awards, three innovations that won at the department level, and one champion of the Innovation League. All winners were rewarded at the conclusion of the UAE Innovates Month.

“These results are good news to all our employees and can be encouraging to more of them to jump on the bandwagon,” said Hussain Al Fardan, Head of Centre Senior Manager.

“Innovators are classified according to specific criteria for each innovation that qualifies the innovator to entre the Innovators Club. There are eight stages for the Innovation League to ensure all aspects are covered. To ensure everyone is familiar with the plans and programmes we have organised 24 virtual awareness workshops for different departments and centres. The competitions step up from Department level to Division level and culminate in the Innovation League’s finals,” he said.
