Iraq and Qatar look to boost cooperation in aviation sector

Baghdad, Iraq— Iraq and Qatar are looking to enhance cooperation in the field of civil aviation, especially in technical, air transport, and aviation security.
In this regard, head of the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, Nael Saad Abdul Hadi discussed on Saturday, with the Minister of Transport and Qatar Aviation Authority the prospects for joint cooperation in the field of civil aviation.
During the meeting, they discussed prospects for joint cooperation between the two countries as it came on the sidelines of the General Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization lCAO held in Montreal – Canada 41, according to a statement by the Civil Aviation Authority, received by the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
The statement included that, “they made talks around ways to enhance joint cooperation with regard to civil aviation and to provide mutual support in all fields, especially technical, air transport, air safety and aviation security, as well as scholarships and training for the Civil Aviation Authority.”
They praised the role of the Iraqi delegation in the International forums, especially in the Arab Civil Aviation Organization.
