Riyadh, Saudi Arabia  – About 61 purchase contracts totaling approximately SR26 billion  ($6.93 billion) were signed at the second World Defense Show (WDS) which concluded here on Thursday.  

The event, featuring 773 exhibitors and hosting 441 official delegations from 116 countries, attracted 106,000 visitors. Throughout the show, a total of 73 agreements were finalized, including 17 industrial partnership agreements, Saudi Gazette reported.

Eng. Ahmed Al-Ohali, Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), expressed gratitude to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for his patronage and acknowledged the support of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The event was in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to localize 50% of military services and equipment expenditures.

Al-Ohali also extended thanks to all participating government entities, local and international companies, and invited attendees to the 2026 WDS in Riyadh, emphasizing its ongoing mission to enhance cooperation and innovation and explore business opportunities in the defense and security sectors.
