Al Seer Marine unveils MEGA II

Abu Dhabi, UAE—Abu Dhabi-based marine company, Al Seer Marine, has said it unveiled the world’s largest 3D printer, MEGA II, which will enable engineers to design parts in shorter periods of time.

In a statement to the Abu Dhabi Exchange, the company said the technology will enable engineers to develop large-scale boats and products that are in high demand.

Media reports said the 36-meter Mega II system can produce large-scale manufacturing complex designs from a small spare part to a large vessel.

Guy Neivens, CEO of Al Seer Marine, said, “This is a transformational approach to the maritime sectors production and will see huge growth. We have seen the positive result of the additive manufacturing in industry such as the aerospace and we believe the maritime to be next in line.”
