Dubai, UAE—Aluminum Bahrain, one of the world’s largest aluminum smelters, has reported a profit of BD39.4 million ($104.9 million) for the fourth quarter of 2022, down by 78 percent compared to $481.8 million for the same period in 2021.

The total comprehensive income for Q4 2022 stood at $97.3 million against the $486.8 million in Q4 2021, down by 80 percent.

For the full year of 2022, Alba has reported a profit $1.10 billion, down by 8 percent against $1.2 billion for 2021. The revenue for 2022 stood at $4.89 billion, up by 16 percent compared to $4.21 billion for 2021.

Alba’s Board of Directors have proposed to pay a final dividend of Fils 85.7 per share (excluding the treasury shares) amounting to BD166 million, subject to the approvals of the company’s shareholders at the Annual General Meeting which will be held on 26 February 2023.
