The reports quoted Dubai Derma Executive Chairman Dr Abdul Salam Al Madani as saying that this was a 15% increase from the previous edition, which was held in 2019.

The annual event is organized by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions, a member of INDEX Holding, in cooperation with the Arab Academy of Dermatology and Aesthetics. It was not held in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Held over three days at the Dubai World Trade Center, this year Dubai Derma had the theme Skin Health Is Our Concern.

Al Madani, who is also chairman of INDEX Holding, was quoted by the local reports as saying that 27,236 visitors from 110 countries attended the event this year.

Topics discussed at the event included filler injections, controversies in laser hair, and even laser therapy for pigmented lesions.
