UAE residents of other nationalities comprise the remainder of the force of the Expo 2020 that will be the largest event ever held in the Arab world.
The Expo volunteers’ data was shared by the World Expo to mark UN International Youth Day, commemorated every year on 12 August to bring youth issues to the attention of the international community, and celebrate the potential of the planet’s youth as partners in today’s global society.
Volunteers will help manage diverse experiences, events and global discussions that will take place every day across the Expo’s 182-day run beginning Oct 1. They are drawn from all segments of society and will provide services in areas such as VIPs and protocol, guests and Expo 2020’s Thematic Pavilions, ceremonies and hospitality and technology support, a statement issued by Expo 2020 said.
Abeer Al Hosani, Director Volunteers Expo 2020 Dubai, said, “With 50 days to go, we are in the critical preparation stages and the dedication and commitment of all our volunteers have been truly exemplary. They have taken every chance to learn and absorb, explore and have fun.”
