  • She said that the documentary drama has helped opened doors for justice

Star of “Tinder Swindler”, Pernilla Sjoholm, said that they have received a lot of support from the people who have watched the documentary drama.

Speaking at the TOP CEO Conference and Awards 2022, Sjoholm said, “Time has been a roller coaster. Some days are very good and some days are very bad. We are still fighting to get justice which we still haven’t had.”

The actor said that the docudrama, streamed on Netflix, has helped opened doors for justice. She said,” I think there are a lot of opportunities that are coming up and opening doors that would not seem possible for some.”

Speaking about the docudrama, she said that people know a bit about frauds. The documentary was a struggle for awareness, she added.

She said that people must be aware of things around them.

Sjoholm said that victims of fraud feel that they have been cheated, they feel worthless.

She said, “I made me feel at my lowest point like I was worthless, that I was just a number in a system and I did not want anyone to have that feeling.”

Sjoholm, who is also a victim of fraud, said that the cheated feel worthless

The actor said, “Fraud comes with so much shame”, and the docudrama “really wants to take away the victims shaming and blaming when it comes to fraud in general.”

Sjoholm said that Bernadette Higgins and Felicity Morris, the two people behind the documentary have told the story in a truthful and respectful way. She said the docudrama has helped in spreading awareness.

On the documentary and whether it can be used to pay off debts, she said that she cannot disclose anything. Sjoholm said, “If you want to google about making a documentary, it’s out there.”

The actor said that the docudrama seems optimistic about the future.

She said, “I think it is going to be okay.”
