Impossible Foods taps Bidfood UAE for local distribution

Bidfood UAE has officially been chosen to distribute the Impossible Burger across the UAE.

Impossible Foods, the US-based company that is known for its plant-based meat and products made from such meat, has tapped Bidfood UAE as its official distributor, according to an official statement.

Bidfood UAE is part of the Bidcorp Group, and has officially been chosen to distribute the Impossible Burger across the UAE.

The product’s rollout will start with eight restaurant that are on board as launch partners as part of Bidfood UAE’s distribution network.

Bidfood will begin to distribute three of Impossible Foods’ plant-based items: Impossible Burger in 1.2-kg and 1.13-kg patties, and the Impossible Burger in bulk format of 2.26 kg.

The items are now expected to be shortly available on Bidfood’s B2B e-commerce platform myBidfood.

The distributor also apparently plans to expand the plant-based range to its other four markets in the GCC.

California-based Impossible Foods launched its flagship product in the UAE one week ago.

The plant-based alternatives market in the Middle East & Africa has been valued at $240.96 million in 2020 and is projected to growth 6.01 percent from 2021 to 2026.
