Investcorp buys stake in SEC Newgate

MANAMA, BAHRAIN  –   Alternative investment firm Investcorp said it will invest US$100 million for a majority stake in SEC Newgate – a strategic communications and advocacy group.

The deal values Milan- headquartered SEC Newgate at over US$250 million, an Investcorp statement said.

SEC Newgate’s other shareholders will roll over 100 percent of their equity investment as part of the transaction.

Investcorp’s investment will help SEC Newgate expand in EMEA and the APAC region through both organic growth and M&A.
