Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) said that the total value of exports during the January-May period 2022 amounted to JD339 million, compared to JD248 million for the first five months last year.

According to the ACC’s statistical data announced on Sunday, the number of ACC certificates of origin issued during the past five months of 2022 reached 10,879, compared to 11,073 for the same period last year.

To Arab countries, the ACC issued 2, 269 certificates of origin to export goods to Saudi Arabia, followed by the United Arab Emirates at 1,508, Iraq at 489, Egypt at 375 and India at 81, the chamber’s figures showed.

Value of exports to Iraq stood at about JD77 million, Egypt at JD52 million, Saudi Arabia at JD31 million, UAE at about JD30 million, then India at about JD27 million, the data revealed.

Re-export of foreign products amounted to about JD157 million, industrial and agricultural products hit JD101 million and JD44 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, the value of re-exported Arab products stood approximately at JD21 million and the remaining share went for many other different products, according to the ACC figures.
