Taif, Saudi Arabia — The market value of the camels competing in the final rounds of the 2025 Crown Prince Camel Festival has approached SAR250 million ($66.6 million), with 100 camels participating.

The seventh edition of the festival, organized by Saudi Camel Sports, began on September 2 under the patronage of Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The competition featured a total of 249 rounds, with prize money exceeding SAR50 million.
The final four rounds, covering a distance of 24 kilometers, will be held today.

According to Saudi Camel Sports Competition and Registry Manager Marwan Aljohani, the camels participating in the finals are considered the elite from the Kingdom, the Gulf region, and the Arab world.

He said that some camels are valued at up to SAR10 million, with none worth less than SAR2 million, adding that most have already won significant trophies in past festivals and championships.
