NEOM, Saudi Arabia – NEOM, the futuristic city being developed in Saudi Arabia, has announced its collaboration with Rajasthan Royals, a prominent T20 cricket team from India, to launch its inaugural cricket program. The pilot initiative aims to promote an active and healthy lifestyle among NEOM’s growing workforce, which is projected to reach 60,000 individuals by the year-end.
Rajasthan Royals, known for its cricket academies and community foundation work, was established in Jaipur in 2008. In celebration of the partnership, Manoj Badale, the lead owner of Rajasthan Royals, recently visited NEOM to meet Nadhmi Al-Nasr, the CEO of NEOM, interact with community members, and participate in various cricket sessions.
The cricket program at NEOM is intended “to prioritize inclusivity and reflect the Royals’ commitment to advancing cricket globally”.
With thousands of individuals already employed at NEOM, cricket has emerged as one of the most popular sports among the workforce, garnering increased participation and a growing spectator base.
NEOM aspires to become a pioneering sporting destination by collaborating with renowned international sports brands. The partnership with Rajasthan Royals signifies NEOM’s dedication to fostering an active and healthy community.

The cricket program at NEOM will be delivered by specialist partners, RISE and Red Bear Sports. These organizations will oversee the implementation of an authentic T20 cricket league within NEOM, with a community-based focus. Additionally, a participation program will be introduced by the end of the year.
