Qatar Chamber and Jordan to enhance private sector cooperation

Qatar Chamber and the Jordanian Ministry of Labor discussed Tuesday ways to enhance bilateral relations and the private sector’s role in enhancing cooperation between the two parties.

This came during the meeting of Qatar Chamber First Vice-Chairman Mohamed bin Twar Al Kuwari and Jordanian Minister of Labor Nayef Stetieh.

The two discussed bilateral relations in the fields of labor and Al Kuwari stressed that the two countries share a brotherly relationship.

He said Chamber would enhance cooperation with Jordan in job-related matters, pointing to the role that labor recruitment agencies can play in this regard.

He added employment is in demand and Jordanian side is reputed in efficiency and skill, stressing that they encourage Qatari private sector to employ Jordanians.

Jordanian Minister of Labor Stetieh pointed to the Qatari initiative to employ 20,000 Jordanians in Qatar.

Stetieh said he wanted cooperation between his ministry and the Chamber to further stimulate the Qatari private sector to employ Jordanians and to determine the available jobs and skills required.
