Qatar records real estate transactions worth $57m from Apr 17-21

Qatar recorded real estate transactions worth 207.8 million riyals ($57 million) during the third week of April, a decrease of 30.5 percent compared to the previous week.

Qatar’s Real Estate Registration Department at the Ministry of Justice said in its weekly real estate bulletin that from Apr 17-21, a total of 64 deals were executed, with a weekly decrease of 11 percent and an average of 3.25 million riyals per deal.

The deals in the third week include 32 vacant land deals worth 66.7 million riyals, accounting for 32 percent of the total value of the weekly transactions.

The weekly figure includes a total of 29 residential deals with a total value of 106.8 million riyals, two multi-purpose vacant lands worth 31.5 million riyals, and one residential building with a value of 2.9 million riyals.

The highest deal in terms of value during the third week came through selling a multi-purpose vacant land in Al Waab zone at Al Rayyan Municipality with a value of 19.1 million riyals and a price of 950 Riyals per foot with an area of 1865 square meters.

The highest average price for residential properties was recorded in Doha Municipality, which witnessed the execution of six deals worth 36.05 million riyals with an average of 789 riyals per foot, then Al Dayyen Municipality which witnessed five deals worth 12.6 million riyals and an average of 442 riyals per foot.

Doha Municipality topped the list in terms of the number of deals for vacant lands by executing four deals worth 8.3 million riyals with an average of 927 riyals per foot.
