Davos, Switzerland — The war in Ukraine, tensions in the Middle East, monetary policy in 2024, jobs, equitable economic growth, energy demand, artificial intelligence, and the need to find a common ground were some of the issues discussed at the third day of Davos summit.
C4IR to be established in Qatar
Several initiatives were also announced today. The World Economic Forum has signed a collaboration agreement with Qatar to establish a Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) in the Gulf state. A Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution will also be established in Vietnam.
HRI initiative
The World Economic Forum’s Humanitarian and Resilience Investing (HRI) Initiative announced more than 50 commitments, from over 40 partners, to boost impact investment in frontier markets.
Global Government Technology Center established in Berlin
The World Economic Forum and GovTech Campus Deutschland announced the establishment of the Global Government Technology Centre Berlin. Also, the First Movers Coalition (FMC) has reached 96 members, with more than 120 commitments to purchase near-zero emission goods and services by 2030.
