In order to cater to growing demand for charter planes, RoyalJet, the wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi-owned RoyalJet Group, has expanded its presence in the UAE by adding Dubai as its new operating base.
The carrier said some of its aircraft, including Boeing Business Jet VVIP and Bombardier Global 5000 corporate jets, are now operating out of Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai.
The jets are available for charter by business and leisure travelers who are looking to fly directly into and out of Dubai.
The company said there has been a “growing demand” for private jet travel in Dubai, especially as the Expo 2020 event draws closer.
“With Expo 2020 about to commence, traffic to and from Dubai and the UAE will surely skyrocket and demand for capacity in all areas of aviation will increase even further, including in the VVIP sector,” the carrier said in a statement.
The exposition is expected to attract 30,000 visitors every month. Private jets gained popularity last year as travelers avoided crowded airports and planes amid surging coronavirus cases.
