Saudi Arabia’s merchandise exports during June 2022 increased by more than 75 percent to 148 billion riyals ($39.37 billion) compared to 84 billion riyals during June 2021.
Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) said the value of oil exports during June 2022 amounted to 118 billion riyals, compared to 61 billion riyals during June 2021, an increase of 94.1 percent.
The non-oil exports (including re-exports) rose by 26.8 percent to 30 billion riyals in June 2022, compared to 24 billion riyals in June 2021.
The kingdom’s merchandise imports during June 2022 amounted to 60 billion riyals, compared to 47 billion riyals during June 2021, an increase of 28.9 percent.
The second quarter merchandise exports increased by 85.1 percent to 430 billion riyals, compared to 232 billion riyals during the second quarter of 2021.
During the second quarter, non-oil exports (including re-exports) increased by 106.5 percent to 344 billion compared to 166 billion riyals during the second quarter of 2021.
Imports during the second quarter of 2022 increased by 21.7 percent to 171 billion riyals, compared to 140 billion riyals during the second quarter of 202
