Saudi, Australian ministers discuss trade, bilateral ties

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef met the Australian Assistant Minister of Industry for Manufacturing Timothy Ayres in Sydney.

Saudi Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining, Eng. Khalid bin Saleh Al-Mudaifer, the CEO of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program Eng. Suliman Almazroua and the CEO of the National Center for Industrial Development Dr. AbdulRahman Al-Qirtas were also present during the meeting.

Al-Khorayef discussed ways to enhance joint economic, commercial and investment cooperation, especially in the industrial and mining sectors between the Kingdom and Australia.

He also highlighted his ministry’s initiatives to develop the industrial sector, which is one of the most important factors to achieve the objectives of the “Kingdom’s Vision 2030” and the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program, which aims to transform Saudi Arabia into a leading industrial power and a global logistics hub.

The Saudi delegation’s visit to Australia also included participating in the International Mining and Resources Conference + EXPO (IMARC) held in Sydney from November 2-4, 2022.
