Saudi Chambers, French group to cooperate in entertainment sector

The Federation of Saudi Chambers, represented by the Saudi-French Business Council, will host a key French delegation representing the entertainment sector, on Monday.

It is likely to discuss prospects of the Saudi-French cooperation in the entertainment sector and relevant fields and address means to enhance investments.

This also includes commercial exchange and views on issues related to the business sector between the two countries.

The French delegation comprises 30 business owners and major French entertainment companies in the field of amusement parks, and manufacturing sports products.

Companies involved in e-games, building entertainment cities, consultations, and banks specialized in financing the sector, and cultural and humanitarian heritage are also a part of it.

Some 100 business owners and Saudi entertainment companies and the national entertainment committee at the federation could participate in the meeting.

They will review opportunities for holding commercial and investment partnerships and consider opportunities in the entertainment sector in the Kingdom.

The Federation stressed importance to enhance partnership between both the countries in the sector and benefit from its investment opportunities and localize international expertise and experiences.

This complies with the Saudi Vision 2030, where it envisioned its entertainment sector contributing 4.2 percent of GDP which also includes providing 450,000 jobs.

Reportedly, the number of companies working in the entertainment sector has doubled to reach more than 1,000 companies.
