RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA – The American Soniqs Esports team has claimed the PUBG Global Series 2 crown and US$600,000 prize on Sunday at Gamers8 – The Land of Heroes, the world’s largest gaming and esports event held here.

Saudi team Twisted Minds came in second and earned US$260,000, while Question Mark, the Russian team, finished third and pocketed US$162,000.

TGLTN, one of the Soniqs team members, received the most-valued player award and US$20,000.

Soniqs team member Hwinn praised the excellent organization of the Gamers8 event, said, “It is awesome to see the growth of esports, especially in this country. I do believe esports is the future – this generation loves it and there is so much potential to a game like PUBG. If they keep posting events like this, then we will keep showing up.”
