UAE, Norway discuss cooperation, eye better relations

  • The UAE Foreign Minister and the Norwegian counterpart also discussed the developments of the COVID-19 pandemic and the efforts to contain the virus.

The UAE and Norway have discussed cooperation in relations between the two countries, said local media reports.

The UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed discussed the topic with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway Anniken Huitfield on a phone call.

The two sides reviewed a number of issues related to the work program of the UN Security Council, which is chaired by the Kingdom of Norway this month, and the UAE is a member of the Council for the period 2022-2023.

The UAE Foreign Minister and the Norwegian counterpart also discussed the developments of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the international efforts to contain the virus and combat its repercussions.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed hailed the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries, and their keenness to deepen strategic ties to develop cooperation across various fields for the betterment of their people.
