Dubai, Riyadh – PureHealth, the largest healthcare group in the Middle East, has entered into an agreement to acquire Circle Health Group, the UK’s largest independent operator of hospitals, for a substantial AED 4.41 billion ($1.19 billion).
PureHealth’s existing roster of companies includes healthcare names such as SEHA – Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, Daman – National Health Insurance Co., PureLab – the largest lab network in the Gulf Cooperation Council, Rafed – a Group Procurement Organization, and Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Centre, which spearheads advanced stem cell research.
This move marks PureHealth’s first venture into the UK market, expanding its global footprint. It aligns with their broader expansion strategy, which encompasses acquisitions in the US and other international markets. The acquisition will not only increase healthcare options for patients in both the UAE and the UK but will also facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration among medical professionals.
Circle Health Group, with over 50 hospitals spread across the UK, is known for its extensive network of private healthcare facilities. It offers specialized services in various fields, including orthopaedics, oncology, neurosurgery, and cardiothoracic surgery.
