DOHA, QATAR – The net profit of Vodafone Qatar increased by 7.5 percent in 2023 to reach US$148 million (QR 540,044,000), compared to US$138 million (QR 502,380,000) in 2022.
According to the company’s statement published on the Qatar Stock Exchange website on Wednesday, the earnings per share (EPS) amounted to US$ QR 0.128 as of December 31, 2023 versus EPS US$ QR 0.119 for the same period in 2022.
The Board of Directors has recommended the distribution of a cash dividend of 11 percent of the nominal share value, i.e. US$ QR 0.11 per share for approval at the Company’s Annual General Assembly meeting.
Vodafone Qatar’s net profit for the nine months ending September 2023 reached US$107 million (QR 392 million), reflecting strong growth of 17.3 percent compared to the same period in 2022, mainly driven by higher EBITDA.
The company’s report said that total revenue for the period increased by 5.6 percent year-on-year to US$631 million (QR 2.3 billion) led by continued growth in the company’s managed services, Internet of Things (IoT), wholesale and fixed broadband services (Gigahome).
Service Revenue grew by 10.1 percent year-on-year to US$563 million (QR 2.05 billion).
Meanwhile, the net profit of Lesha Bank jumped by 25.1 percent in 2023 to reach US$25.9 million (QR94,388,000), compared to US$20.7 million (QR75,470,000) in 2022.
The bank’s data published on the Qatar Stock Exchange website said the earnings per share (EPS) amounted to QR 0.084 as of December 31, 2023 versus EPS QR 0.078 for the same period in 2022.
