More than 4,000 young men and women will take part in the festival, which will run for 35 days and will include various programs targeting all the segments of the society.

The region is known for its agricultural value to Saudi Arabia. In Buraidah, agriculture is still the cornerstone of the economy.

The festival is organized by Qassim municipality, in strategic partnership with the Culture Ministry, represented by the Culinary Arts Authority, and with the participation of governmental, social and charity organizations with an interest in dates and their derivatives.

It is also a lifeline for thousands of farmers and young people who depend on the income generated from date farming.
