Makkah, Saudi Arabia – A scientific forum organized by Arab and Islamic universities’ associations has recommended the formation of a working group of scholars and researchers to become envoys for the Muslim World League’s (MWL) initiative, “Building Bridges Between East and West.”

The forum, titled “The role of media in enriching dialogue between civilizations,” was organized in Egypt by the Islamic Universities League in cooperation with the Association of Arab Universities.

 The forum has urged Arab and Islamic universities to form working groups of scholars and researchers in different universities and media and cultural institutions to represent the initiative.

 The forum also called for adopting new ideas to enrich dialogue and enhance inter-civilizational dialogue and humanitarian communication.

 A large number of senior scholars and researchers in media, social and political sciences as well as enthusiasts and students took part in the deliberations.

 The “Building Bridges Between East and West” initiative was recently launched by the MWL at the UN Headquarters and has been welcomed globally.
