Mina, Saudi Arabia – Pilgrims were continuing with their religious rites on Friday, the third day of Eid Al-Adha, participating in the stoning ritual at the Jamarat facility.

Upon completion of this ritual, the faithful were moving towards the Grand Holy Mosque for the farewell circumambulation.

Bahrain’s Minister of Information, Ramzan bin Abdullah Al-Noaimi, has praised the successful execution of this year’s Hajj season. He attributed this accomplishment to the judicious leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the support from Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Speaking to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Al-Noaimi expressed the Islamic world’s gratitude for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s attention and care towards pilgrims and visitors of the Two Holy Mosques, a tradition upheld since the reign of the late King Abdulaziz Al Saud.

He lauded this year’s Hajj season as another success to be added to the Kingdom’s list of achievements, praising the high-quality services and innovative administrative methods including the use of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI). These advancements have allowed pilgrims to perform their rituals in a peaceful and tranquil environment.

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, meanwhile, organized nine field exhibitions during this year’s Hajj season.

Mohammad Al-Ahmadi, Director of Exhibitions at the Saudi Conventions and Exhibitions General Authority, stated that these exhibitions were the result of collaborative efforts between various government agencies, aiming to enhance the cultural and spiritual journey of the pilgrims.

The Saudi Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST), on its part, demonstrated the impressive network coverage at the Holy Sites. On June 28, the daily data consumption reached a staggering 4.56K TB, equivalent to watching 1.87 million hours of 1080p HD videos.

The per capita data consumption exceeded the global average by nearly two times, with each person consuming an average of 709 MB compared to the global average of 270 MB per subscriber.

CST also revealed that the average mobile internet download speed that day reached an impressive 220 Mbit/second, with upload speeds of 33 Mbit/second. TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram were identified as the most data-consuming platforms in Makkah AlMukarramah and the Holy Sites. These statistics underscore the robust infrastructure in place to provide pilgrims with a digitally enriched Hajj experience.
