Arab forum discusses building capacity of cities to face climate change

Fourth Arab Ministerial Forum for Housing and Urban Development hosted by Jordan discusses ways to build the capacity of Arab cities to withstand climate change and the risks of disasters and epidemics, keep pace with the increasing demand for basic services and infrastructure, provide job opportunities and obtain adequate and affordable housing. 

The forum which was held under the patronage of Jordanian Prime Minister Dr Bisher Al-Khasawneh also discussed new Arab vision towards urban development characterized by safety, justice, resilience and sustainability. 

The forum, which was held during December 14 -16, came in conjunction with the 38th session of the high-level Arab Ministers of Housing and Construction, and an exhibition of housing projects, distinctive urban development, construction materials and innovative technologies in the field of construction which was organized on the sidelines of the conference.
