Collaboration helps strengthen Emirati workforce

  • Collaboration with local HR departments, educational institutions, and private sector companies helps connect with local talent, says a UAE official
  • This also opens new horizons for Emiratis to effectively contribute to the UAE's economic development, adds Farida Al Ali of the country's MoHRE

DUBAI, UAE – Collaboration with local human resources departments, educational institutions, private sector companies, and free zones creates direct channels of communication with local talent, enabling them to join the competitive and attractive job market for both local and international talents, said a UAE official.

“This also opens new horizons for Emiratis to effectively contribute to the UAE’s economic development,” said Farida Al Ali, Assistant Undersecretary of National Human Resources Employment at the UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE)

She also pointed out that the MoHRE had organized over 80 recruitment open days across the UAE during the first three months of 2023 to encourage Emiratis to capitalize on competitive job opportunities in the private sector.

The open days were coordinated in partnership with local human resources departments, educational institutions, and more than 81 companies from the private sector, as well as seven free zone-based companies.

She emphasized the importance of recruitment open days, describing them as “a platform that provides numerous job opportunities for Emiratis with companies operating in various economic sectors across the UAE.”

Meanwhile, representatives from around 900 companies participated in awareness workshops organized by MoHRE to explain the new mechanism for achieving Emiratization targets at companies with 50 employees or more – a 1 percent increase to be accomplished semi-annually.

The UAE’s Ministry announced that it will continue organizing awareness workshops about the new Emiratization targets mechanism until the end of 2023. It urged companies to visit its official website and social media pages to learn about the workshops’ schedules.
