Egypt’s President Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi underscored the importance of coordination and cooperation among all countries of the world to confront the energy crisis.
In a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin Tuesday, Al-Sisi said Egypt is determined to coordinate with partners to tackle tension in its neighborhood.
He said that his country is continuing to find a fair solution to its water security through reaching a legally-binding agreement on filling and operating Ethiopia’s Renaissance Dam.
Al-Sisi said he agreed with the German Chancellor on cooperation towards various issues including the Palestinian issue, terrorism and illegal immigration.
He said both the countries would work together to alleviate the repercussions of the current world economic crisis on most vulnerable countries.
The German Chancellor lauded Egypt’s role in achieving stability in the region, citing Gaza strip and Libya.
Scholz said that there is need for enhancing cooperation between Egypt and Germany.
