ABU DHABI — Innovation is a key cornerstone and essential driver for achieving the UAE’s goals in enhancing energy efficiency, sustainability, and future foresight, said Awaidha Murshed Al Marar, Chairman of the Department of Energy (DoE).

To commemorate “UAE Innovation Month 2024,” Al Marar remarked, “Through effective and constructive collaboration with various local and international partners, we have succeeded in establishing an integrated energy transition system that embraces innovation as its core approach.”

He further mentioned that the UAE Innovation Month acts as a prime platform for addressing challenges and transforming them into unique opportunities for growth, positive change, and the provision of innovative solutions through the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.

“Our dedication to offering and adopting innovative solutions in clean and renewable energy is paramount in reaching our objectives of achieving climate neutrality,” he emphasized.

Awaidha Murshed Al Marar

Highlighting the importance of investing in the youth and developing their skills as they are the fundamental cornerstone for constructing a sustainable future, Al Marar said, “At the DoE, we are committed to empowering the younger generation and supporting their innovative ideas and groundbreaking innovations, which are crucial for building a robust future for the sector and furthering our country’s prosperity.”

He also lauded the ongoing collaboration across sectors, including government and private entities within the UAE, for their active participation in UAE Innovation Month by exchanging insights and ideas on the latest innovations in various energy domains.
