With visiting Spanish ambassador Pedro Martinez by his side, Hamid Al-Ghazi, the Iraqi Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers on  Monday said that Iraq seeks to enhance economic and commercial relations with the international community.

“The next phase will witness the implementation of many ministerial and investment projects in various sectors in Iraq,” Al-Ghazi said following his meeting with Martinez.

Martinez said the Spanish government will support Iraq in all fields, especially in climate change.

“Spain is exposed to water scarcity, and the need for joint action and the exchange of experiences is vital in this area.”
