The city will be able to accommodate up to 130,000 residents and is poised to redefine real estate development in the region, aiming to enhance the overall quality of life and make a significant impact on Jeddah.

“Marafy will be a gamechanger in the real estate development sector, raising the bar for development in the region and creating a substantial positive impact on Jeddah,” David Grover, the Group CEO of ROSHN Group, expressed his enthusiasm, said.

Marafy’s 11-kilometer canal will be 100 meters wide, offering a navigable waterway that connects to and extends Obhur Creek. The canal will be surrounded by multiple unique districts, providing residents with diverse and vibrant living spaces.

One of the standout features of Marafy will be its integrated inter-modal transport system, ensuring convenient connectivity for the waterside districts and the wider Jeddah area. This comprehensive system will include water taxis, buses, and a subway network, allowing residents and visitors to move effortlessly within the city. Marafy will also offer a direct link to the King Abdulaziz International Airport, enhancing accessibility and connectivity for travelers.

The city will follow the ongoing construction of Neom on the Red Sea coast, spearheaded by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Neom is envisioned as a catalyst for technological advancements and economic transformation, with a substantial budget of $500 billion.

Marafy is poised to contribute to Saudi Arabia’s growth and economic development, while also offering a unique and alluring urban experience to residents and visitors alike. As the city takes shape, it is expected to become a symbol of modernity and innovation on the global stage.
