Qatar’s inbound visitors see 183% rise in March

Doha, Qatar – Inbound visitors to Qatar surged by 183.5 percent YoY in March, according to the 111th issue of the Qatar Monthly Statistics bulletin by the Planning and Statistics Authority. 

The total number of visitors reached 433,000 in the month, an increase of 11.3 percent compared to February 2023.

 Gulf Cooperation Council visitors accounted for the highest number at 38 percent. 

Meanwhile, cash equivalents, including commercial bank deposits, recorded a decrease of 0.02 percent YoY to QR967bn ($265bn), while there were 2,139 live births and 233 deaths in March. 

Qatar also registered an 18.4 percent monthly increase in marriage contracts and a 36.8 percent monthly increase in divorce certificates.

The total number of building permits reached 666 permits during the month, recording a monthly increase of 3.4 percent and an annual decrease of 32.6 percent.

The number of registered new vehicles reached 7091. The figure showed a monthly increase of 21.0 percent and showed an annual decrease of 18.8 percent.
