Riyadh Season 2023 on track to outshine previous edition with over 15m visitors

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Riyadh Season 2023 is poised to surpass the record set in 2021, with over 15 million visitors already attending the various activities, according to Turki Al-Sheikh, the chairman of the board of directors of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA).

The accomplishment was announced on Wednesday, highlighting the success in achieving the target number of visitors before the conclusion of the event, Saudi Gazette reported.

The 4th edition of Riyadh Season, which commenced in October 2023, is on track to break the previous record of over 15 million visitors set during the second edition in 2021. Al-Sheikh noted that this impressive figure was reached even before the commencement of several major upcoming events.

In the upcoming days and weeks, Riyadh Season is set to host significant events, including the Riyadh Season Cup Championship, the inaugural Riyadh Season Snooker Championship (English Billiards) titled “Riyadh Season Ball,” UFC fights in Mixed Martial Arts (5v5), and a historic boxing match.

Comparatively, the first edition of Riyadh Season in 2019 attracted more than 9.6 million visitors, while the third edition in 2022 saw a turnout of over 13 million visitors. The current success of Riyadh Season 2023 underscores the continued growth and popularity of the entertainment extravaganza, solidifying its position as a global attraction drawing visitors from around the world.
