UAE and Kuwait link up traffic systems

Abu Dhabi, UAE–Abu Dhabi today announced the inauguration of the bilateral linkage of the traffic systems between the UAE and Kuwait.

This came in a bilateral meeting held in Abu Dhabi between the delegations of the two countries, where Maj. Gen. Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, received the Kuwaiti delegation headed by Maj. Gen. Jamal Hatem Al Sayegh, Assistant Under-Secretary for Traffic and Operations Affairs at the Ministry of Interior of Kuwait.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance the existing cooperation between the two countries in the police and security fields.

Furthermore, it was announced that the bilateral linkage of traffic systems would be completed within an integrated Gulf project aimed at exchanging information, unifying procedures and facilitating the services provided.

The Kuwaiti delegation was briefed on the Security Support Operations Room of the General Directorate of Security Support, in addition to the advanced systems contained in the room for supporting decision-makers during events and following up on police systems.

This also helps in developing the work in a scientific way based on accurate statistics, in addition to what the room contains of devices, equipment and smart police systems that form an integrated system that contributes to providing data to the sectors of the Ministry of Interior to enhance the guarantee of preparedness, readiness and speed of response
